The Tim DeWitt HARVEST Education Foundation, a nonprofit organization established in 1991 by the Michigan Manufactured Housing, Recreation Vehicles, and Campground Association, is dedicated to supporting students pursuing education and careers in these industries. About the HARVEST Education Foundation

Our Mission

The HARVEST Education Foundation aims to create educational opportunities for students with aspirations in the RV, campground, or manufactured housing industries. Scholarships are also awarded to outstanding students with compelling needs, regardless of their career goals.

A Legacy of Support

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Foundation relies on tax-deductible contributions from individuals, corporations, grants, and agencies to fund its scholarships. Since its inception, the Foundation has been a catalyst for educational success.

Types of Scholarships

We offer a variety of scholarships to support students in their academic and career pursuits. Our Industry-Focused Scholarships provide financial aid for students aiming for careers in the RV, campground, or manufactured housing sectors. Additionally, our General Scholarships are available to exceptional students who demonstrate merit or financial need, regardless of their field of study or career goals. Whether you’re interested in a specialized industry or pursuing broader academic aspirations, we have opportunities to help you succeed.

Eligibility Criteria

Who Can Apply?

  • Students accepted to or currently enrolled at any accredited university, college, or vocational institution.
  • Applicants demonstrating financial need or merit.

  • A strong, well-presented application showcasing thoroughness and professionalism.

How to Apply

Step 1: Complete the Application

Fill out the online application OR
Download and fill out the application form with the following details:

  • Personal information, including contact details and educational background.
  • Future educational plans and career objectives.
  • Financial need and unusual circumstances impacting your education.

Step 2: Submit Required Documents

  • Proof of enrollment or acceptance at an accredited institution.
  • Academic transcripts.
  • Any supporting documentation, such as financial statements or personal statements.
  • Two letters of reference - (only one required if a previous scholarship by HARVEST has been awarded).
  • A 200-300 word, typed essay stating your career goals and why you feel you are deserving of a HARVEST scholarship. Your application will also be judged on clarity, content, and presentation. Returning applicants must provide a current, 200-300 word, typed essay stating your goals and educational accomplishments.

Step 3: Email Your Application

Send your completed application to info@harvesteducationfoundation.org by the deadline: Friday, April 18, 2025.

  • Review Period: May 2025.
  • Notification of Awards: May 2025 via email.
  • Scholarship Disbursement: Award checks sent to recipients’ educational institutions in August 2025.
